A one-of-one end grain board built as a second run of the Ombre Board's color fade. Black walnut, purpleheart, canarywood, cherry, and maple are arranged so the face moves from dark to light in one continuous line instead of a checkerboard. A soft roundover edge and finger grooves centered on both ends keep it fully reversible.

The Build

Every piece is sorted and arranged by hand before the glue-up so the color moves in one direction without a hard seam between species. Sanded through six grits, 80, 120, 150, 180, 240, and a final pass at 320, and water popped between every one so it stays smooth after its first wash. Finished with multiple rounds of mineral oil and a final beeswax board butter.
